A man and a dog struggle with the command “stay.”

I’m happy to show you all my year-long junior film at MICA. Lots of thank yous to everyone mentioned in the credits, and to you guys for supporting me!

My roommate and sole animation assistant for Borrowed Light just put her 3rd year film online! It’s really amazing. I have no idea how she did this while helping me, and working on tons of other things too.

Damn. I teared up. Animation students make the raddest things. I want to be just like them.

Really actually crying in real life

I’m attending MICA now and this was the short film they showed to those of us who wanted to be animation majors. They were like “yes correct this is the type of stuff you will be doing THIS is the standard we will be holding you to.”

i was crying for more than one reason

Why do I watch these when I know I’m going to cry!!!

who is this guy? I weirdly feel like I know him and it’s creeping me out.

mbrainspaz this is Avi Kaplan from Pentatonix. He was a fairly famous bass and then joined Pentatonix on the TV show “The Sing Off”

hm. That doesn’t explain why I feel like I know him. Maybe I ran into him at some point. Maybe I know someone who looks similar. Maybe he just has a very knowable face. I like his face.

He does have that oddly, hey I just met you but I feel like I’ve known you forever kind of face.

And that’s the most frustrating thing about depression. It isn’t always something you can fight back against with hope. It isn’t even something — it’s nothing. And you can’t combat nothing. You can’t fill it up. You can’t cover it. It’s just there, pulling the meaning out of everything. That being the case, all the hopeful, proactive solutions start to sound completely insane in contrast to the scope of the problem.

It would be like having a bunch of dead fish, but no one around you will acknowledge that the fish are dead. Instead, they offer to help you look for the fish or try to help you figure out why they disappeared.

This is actually a really good way to explain it, I think.

I WILL NEVER NOT REBLOG THIS

What happens when two baroque cellists perform a cover of “Thunderstruck" by AC/DC? They shred. Literally. Keep an eye on their bows as the piece progresses.

This awesome video features Croatian cellists Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser, aka 2Cellos, playing their phenomenal “BaRock style” arrangement of the hard rock classic for a completely bewildered 17th century audience. The concept is wonderful, but the actual performance is astonishing.

[via Geeks are Sexy]

ok that was seriously badass. PLAY, CROATIAN BEAUTIES, PLAY WHILE I SHIP YOU.

i love the way the sound changes as the bows gradually disintegrate, too.

that was FUCKING AWESOME.

YUS!!!
